Tarangire National Park Day Trip Details

Your tour starts with you being picked up from your hotel in Arusha town and then heading south to the stunning Tarangire National Park. You will arrive at the Tarangire national park for game viewing. In the afternoon you will stop for a picnic lunch. Your afternoon game-drive will reveal all the wonders of Tarangire, with the highest number of elephants in the whole of the northern Tanzania parks, exceeding Lake Manyara and Serengeti. There have also been an estimate of 550 bird species recorded there, making it a great attraction for any bird lover.

Tarangire National Park displays a diverse number of wildlife such as: elephant, lesser and great kudu, African buffalo, cheetah, fringe-eared Oryx, leopard, lion, Masai giraffe, spotted hyena, common zebra, white-bearded wildebeest, warthog, eland, olive baboon, bat-eared fox, impala, common waterbuck, bushbuck, coke’s hartebeest, gerenuk, and bohor reedbuck.

Explore the park and admire its flora, including the baobab trees, and take unique photos of the animals. Keep an eye out for the rare birds such as the yellow-collared lovebirds and the myriad of further bird life before you pause for lunch.
